Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between River Castaneda (ranked 3553 p4p, 5347 weight class) and Antonio Rivera (ranked 268 p4p, 324 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Antonio Rivera was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, River Castaneda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Antonio Rivera!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castaneda tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rivera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Castaneda won't be happy with that.
Castaneda knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rivera on the ground.
A lull in the action here as Rivera stalls from top position.
Rivera has an Americana. Castaneda didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rivera is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rivera hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Antonio Rivera!
