Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Angus Young (ranked 74 p4p, 711 weight class) and Jeramiah Pony (ranked 0 p4p, 56 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jeramiah Pony enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Angus Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jeramiah Pony!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Young clinches up against the cage.
Young stalling the fight.

Pony tightens his grip and picks Young up, before dumping him to the ground. Young manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Young working a defensive guard here.
Young wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Pony looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Young being controlled here, momentarily.
We've been hearing good reports from Young's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Pony is looking to work some ground and pound but Young has wrist control.
Pony trying to control the position from guard on top but Young is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Young keeping moving, preventing Pony from controlling successfully.
Young utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Young is trying to control the position but Pony postures up.

Young controls Pony momentarily but Pony frees himself.
Pony trying to control but Young is working from the bottom.

Young working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pony.

Young working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pony doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pony manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Young pulls Pony in close to his closed guard and prevents Pony from doing any damage or advancing position.
Pony postures up.
Young keeping full guard, as Pony tries to pass.
Pony trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Pony avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Young throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pony is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pony postures up.

Young looking for a sweep. Not yet Young, not yet.

Young isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pony stacks Young on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pony!
Pony wants to control but Young is keeping him busy.
Pony tries to move to mount but Young blocks the move with his legs.
Young takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Young gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Young gets back to full guard.

Young looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Young is adopting a defensive guard.

Pony trying to control but Young is working from the bottom.
Pony keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Young's head.
Young looking to control.

Young has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pony can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pony postures up.
Young has momentary wrist control but Pony slips an elbow through the middle.
Pony content to stall in guard here.
Pony trying to control but Young is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pony connects with a couple of short punches.

Young is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pony is aware though and is defending well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jeramiah Pony dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Young looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Young fails with an attempt to clinch.
Young uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pony.

Pony drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Young is not content to let Pony control the position.
Young can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pony is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Young is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Young tries to buck Pony off but Pony is having none of it.

Pony tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pony has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Young can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pony tries for a kimura but Young is defending well.
Young tries to bench press Pony off him but Pony keeps the position.
Young wants to control but Pony postures up.
Young is trying to get back to half guard.
Young manages to get back to half guard.
Jeramiah Pony has got the better of the ground game so far.
Young has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pony is working away from the top position though.
Young is looking to improve his position.
Young is refusing to be controlled, as Pony sits in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pony is thwarting Young's attempts to control the position.
Pony has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pony is working for a submission of some sort.
Pony drops an elbow to the side of Young's head.

Young is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Pony has latched onto it... Big trouble! Pony pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Young is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Pony!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jeramiah Pony!
Jeramiah Pony bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
