PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tian Long (ranked 1934 p4p, 1810 weight class) and Roman Reyes (ranked 257 p4p, 242 weight class). Reyes has chosen Zack Hemsey - Vengeance as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Reyes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Long.
Reyes follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Long misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Reyes.
As Long backs off Reyes throws a huge counter combo but Long manages to avoid it all.
Reyes ducks under a wild hook from Long.

Reyes gets the takedown into side control.
Reyes staying calm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reyes lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Reyes is working to tighten his grip on Long's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Long has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Reyes is really squeezing tight and eventually Long passes out! Reyes breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

In his post fight interview, Roman Reyes started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
