Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between George Pierre (ranked 3598 p4p, 1962 weight class) and Rodri Yairguez (ranked 285 p4p, 184 weight class). Pierre comes to the cage accompanied by O Canada. Yairguez has chosen El Corrido De Chihuahua - Los Rieleros Del Norte as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rodri Yairguez acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Rodri Yairguez!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre shoots in for a takedown but Yairguez shows good takedown defense.
Yairguez cracks Pierre with an open hand slap.

It looks like George Pierre has been cut.
Pierre throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Good shot there by Yairguez.
Yairguez pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Pierre bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Pierre has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Pierre misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Pierre lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Yairguez down.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pierre lands a decent elbow from side control.
Yairguez takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Yairguez manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Pierre wants to get back to his feet.
Yairguez slows the pace down in half guard.

Yairguez is keen to just control but Pierre is a slippery customer.
Yairguez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Pierre has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Yairguez.
Pierre shoots for a double leg takedown but Yairguez sprawls well. He's pushed Pierre's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Yairguez scores with a nice head shot.
Pierre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Yairguez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Yairguez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pierre walks into a jab.
Yairguez misses with a head kick.
Pierre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Yairguez's corner calls for a 1-2. Yairguez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Yairguez connects with a jab.

Pierre is rocked!
Pierre misses with a takedown attempt - Yairguez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Oh Pierre is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pierre closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Yairguez cracks Pierre with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Pierre falls to his knees and Yairguez doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
