Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Romulo Ferreira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raja Guru!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira throws an off balance right hand
and Guru counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ferreira throws a lazy right hand but Guru sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ferreira throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Guru on the side of the head.
Ferreira cracks Guru with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Guru cracks Ferreira with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ferreira lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ferreira fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Guru on the side of the head.
Ferreira tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Guru was well out of range. Poor timing from Ferreira.
Ferreira takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guru scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ferreira scores with a sloppy right hand. Guru should have avoided that one.
A slow jab from Ferreira misses its intended target.
Romulo Ferreira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ferreira misses with an uppercut. Guru saw that one coming.
Ferreira throws a sloppy body shot
and Guru counters with a nice uppercut.
Guru throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ferreira swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Guru lands with a nice body punch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ferreira checks a leg kick.
Ferreira digs a good body shot into Guru's ribs.
Ferreira blocks a jab.
Guru lands with a shot to the body.
Guru defending well as Ferreira loads up on a big left hand.
Ferreira cracks Guru with a right hand to the side of the head.
Guru is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Good standup being displayed there by Guru as he connects with a hook.

Ferreira rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Guru cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ferreira steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Guru. That one must have hurt.
Ferreira throws a poor cross that misses
and Guru counters with a stiff right hand.
Guru lands a big right hand that sends Ferreira crashing to the mat! Guru stays standing though and waves Ferreira back to his feet!
Ferreira is rocked!
Guru swings for the body but Ferreira moves out of range.
It looked like Ferreira wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Oh Ferreira is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ferreira looks to score with a jab to the body but Guru is just out of range.
Ferreira throws out a loose jab but Guru uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ferreira seems to have got his legs back now.
Guru is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ferreira had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Guru misses with a hook. Ferreira ducked under it nicely.

and Guru counters with a straight right hand.
Ferreira rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Guru counters with a big right hand! Oh Ferreira is in trouble here! Guru follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
