Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nikolay Leonov (ranked 1500 p4p, 1169 weight class) and Oke Swahn (ranked 172 p4p, 147 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Oke Swahn!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swahn is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Swahn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Leonov momentarily.
Swahn scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Leonov is rocked!

Oh Leonov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Swahn was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

and Swahn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nice uppercut lands for Leonov. That snapped Swahn's head back.
Swahn connects with a solid leg kick.
Leonov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Swahn moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

A nice inside leg kick there by Leonov. That's going to slow Swahn down.
Swahn takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Leonov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Leonov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nikolay Leonov dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Leonov throws a leg kick but Swahn checks it.

Leonov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Swahn can do to turn this around?

Leonov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A bone on bone clash there as Leonov blocks the leg kick.
Leonov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Leonov there as he acknowledges the shot.
Leonov throws a hook to the side of Swahn's head but Swahn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Leonov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Swahn counters with a leg kick.
Swahn feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Leonov sprawling to the canvas! Leonov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Swahn finish him?!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
