Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nykolai Kersikov (ranked 152 p4p, 596 weight class) and Tre Jokinen (ranked 15 p4p, 56 weight class). Kersikov's entrance music is Frequencerz & Da Tweekaz - Full Control. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Nykolai Kersikov!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tre Jokinen!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokinen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kersikov.
Jokinen feints the counter takedown.
Kersikov moves out of range as Jokinen strikes.

and Kersikov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kersikov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jokinen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Kersikov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Jokinen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kersikov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kersikov's back!

Our spies down at at Triumph Over Fear inform us that Jokinen has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
