Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Ares (ranked 5422 p4p, 3335 weight class) and Antoine Moreau (ranked 432 p4p, 315 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adrian Ares! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antoine Moreau! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ares throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Moreau counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ares looks to throw the jab but Moreau is out of range. Moreau avoids a punch combination nicely.
A little jabbing left from Moreau on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Moreau jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Ares throws an overhand right that lands on Moreau's shoulder, as Moreau tries to avoid the shot. Ares throws a big shot that misses. Moreau cracks Ares with an uppercut from hell and Ares crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Moreau's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

That's one minute gone in the round. Ares looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Moreau puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Oh Ares is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Moreau keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Ares wants to control but Moreau passes into side.
The referee asks Moreau politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Moreau prefers to stall for the moment though. Ares looking for a sweep but Moreau has passed into full mount! Oh no! Moreau controlling from mount. Ares is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Ares seems to have got his legs back now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ares is trying to escape the mount.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Moreau content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ares tries to hold on but Moreau postures up. Moreau controlling from the full mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Moreau prevents Ares from getting the reversal. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Antoine Moreau dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ares misses with a hook to the body

Moreau lands with an uppercut that bounces Ares off the cage and back into range. Ares throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Moreau throws out a counter right but Ares avoids it with no problem. Ares throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

and Moreau counters with a lovely shot to the body. Antoine Moreau seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ares misses with a straight right. Moreau lands with a good body shot. A punch combination from Moreau misses.

and Moreau cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Adrian Ares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ares uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Moreau. Ares throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ares takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Moreau might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Moreau misses with a straight left. It looked like Ares wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Moreau has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ares takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Antoine Moreau decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
