Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Biggie Smoke (ranked 2644 p4p, 2330 weight class) and Ashi Garami (ranked 317 p4p, 293 weight class). Ashi Garami is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Biggie Smoke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ashi Garami!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garami clinches up with Smoke and pushes him back against the cage.
Smoke wants the takedown. Garami is fighting it off but Smoke persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Garami's guard against the cage.
Garami is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Garami is on top in guard.
Smoke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Garami's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Garami uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smoke.

Garami tries to lock up and control but Smoke gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Biggie Smoke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Smoke manages to capitalize on a mistake by Garami to take his back!
Smoke just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Smoke has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Garami has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Nice sprawl there from Smoke as Garami shoots in.
Smoke stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Garami shoots in looking for a takedown but Smoke manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Garami's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
