Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleki Veainu (ranked 467 p4p, 326 weight class) and Kaito Tanaka (ranked 62 p4p, 41 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aleki Veainu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kaito Tanaka! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Tanaka throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Veainu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Tanaka moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Tanaka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Tanaka misses with a head kick.
Tanaka sizes up Veainu with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Tanaka throws a hook to the side of Veainu's head but Veainu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanaka looks to land a right hand but Veainu moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanaka lands with a straight right. Veainu didn't see that one coming. Tanaka jabbing away but nothing is landing. Veainu throwing a counter right hand but Tanaka manages to avoid it. Tanaka throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tanaka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Kaito Tanaka has been cut. Veainu on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Tanaka throws a hook to the side of Veainu's head but Veainu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Veainu is looking to counter punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanaka is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Tanaka cracks Veainu with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Tanaka has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Veainu to stand back up! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tanaka drops Veainu with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Veainu looks back up at him and smiles so Tanaka waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Tanaka misses with a body shot.
Veainu looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Tanaka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Veainu moves away from the strike by Tanaka. Veainu was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A big right from Tanaka misses. Veainu throwing a counter right hand but Tanaka manages to avoid it. Veainu blocks a head kick by Tanaka.
A little feinted left hand from Veainu on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Tanaka misses with a right hand and Veainu counters with a stiff right hand. Tanaka lands a nice looking body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tanaka throws a hook to the side of Veainu's head but Veainu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Tanaka scores with a jab to the jaw. Kaito Tanaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tanaka connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Tanaka misses the shot to the body. Jab by Tanaka. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kaito Tanaka dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kaito Tanaka's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Tanaka rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Veainu counters with a nice right hand that sends Tanaka toppling to the canvas! Tanaka scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Veainu finish him?! Tanaka lands a jab to the nose. Tanaka throws a sloppy body shot

Tanaka is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Good exchange - Tanaka coming out on top. Tanaka throws a head kick but Veainu moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Veainu ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tanaka waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Veainu. An attempted straight right counter from Veainu misses the target. Tanaka cracks Veainu with a right hand to the side of the head. Veainu needs to keep his hands up - Tanaka had a free shot at his head there. Veainu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanaka throws a hook to the side of Veainu's head but Veainu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. It looked like Veainu wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Veainu takes a kick to the side of the head. Tanaka drops Veainu with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Veainu looks back up at him and smiles so Tanaka waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Tanaka measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Veainu! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Kaito Tanaka! Kaito Tanaka seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
