Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jens Ryden (ranked 2825 p4p, 2688 weight class) and James Darwin (ranked 331 p4p, 322 weight class). Jens Ryden has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darwin ducks under a wild hook from Ryden.

Ryden wants to sweep here but Darwin controlling him for the moment.

Darwin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Darwin is working to tighten his grip on Ryden's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ryden has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Darwin is really squeezing tight and eventually Ryden passes out! Darwin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A very excited looking James Darwin rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
