Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Larry Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jersey Squirrel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Squirrel has chosen Lil Wayne- Milli as his entrance music. Larry Shaw could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jersey Squirrel's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Larry Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jersey Squirrel! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Squirrel scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Larry Shaw has been cut. Shaw takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Squirrel fails in his attempt to clinch. Squirrel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shaw shoots for a double leg takedown but Squirrel sprawls well. He's pushed Shaw's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Shaw takes a body punch but keeps moving. Squirrel throws a head kick that misses. No luck for Shaw with that takedown attempt. Squirrel lands a head kick. Shaw smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Squirrel scores with a punch to the head. Shaw fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Shaw. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Squirrel swivels and escapes. Shaw looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Squirrel connects with the punch. Shaw shoots in and drives through. Squirrel sprawls well. Shaw keeps the fight on the outside. Shaw drives through with a takedown into guard. Squirrel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shaw throws a big right hand that misses. Shaw works over Squirrel with some ground and pound from guard. Shaw throws a strike but Squirrel rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Squirrel stays in close to Shaw's body and controls the position. Shaw scores with a short punch from the bottom. Shaw has his hands on Squirrel's head, controlling the position. Shaw is trying to control the position but Squirrel postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Shaw keeping full guard, as Squirrel tries to pass. Shaw tries to land a sweep but no joy. Squirrel scoring with some ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Squirrel is standing up over Shaw. Shaw looks to escape but Squirrel dives into side control.
Shaw gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Shaw is squirming around, avoiding Squirrel's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Squirrel leaves Shaw with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Shaw shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Squirrel pinned against the cage. Squirrel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Squirrel gets a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Squirrel is struggling to control the position. Shaw is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Squirrel pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Shaw. That's going to take a lot out of him. Squirrel lands a body punch in the clinch. Shaw looking for a takedown. Squirrel utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Shaw has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Squirrel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Shaw shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Squirrel sprawls well. Squirrel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shaw gets slowly back to his feet. Squirrel sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Shaw to the ground! Squirrel dives into full mount looking to finish!
Larry Shaw's cut is getting worse. Shaw knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Squirrel on the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Squirrel controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Squirrel is working for a guillotine from mount but Shaw frees his head quite easily.
Shaw is squirming around, avoiding Squirrel's attempts to control the action. Shaw wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Shaw tries to escape but Squirrel has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Squirrel looking for the choke from the back. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Squirrel's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Squirrel doesn't have the hooks in and Shaw manages to turn into his guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Shaw tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Squirrel swivels and escapes. Shaw misses with a takedown attempt - Squirrel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Shaw moves forwards but Squirrel connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Larry Shaw's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. A jab from Squirrel finds it's way through Shaw's defenses. Squirrel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. That must have hurt him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jersey Squirrel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Larry Shaw's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Squirrel is pressed up against the cage. Shaw has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Squirrel down to the mat. Squirrel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Squirrel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Shaw tries to score a body lock takedown but Squirrel shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Squirrel crunches a lovely knee into Shaw's ribcage. Squirrel lands a left hand that snaps the head of Shaw backwards. Squirrel gets underhooks to prevent Shaw's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Shaw. That's going to take a lot out of him. Squirrel ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Squirrel no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Squirrel is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Squirrel looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Shaw is looking to improve his position but Squirrel isn't that keen on the idea. Jersey Squirrel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Squirrel trying to control but Shaw is having none of it. Shaw wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. A lull in the action here.
Squirrel slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

And that's the end of the fight! Jersey Squirrel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Squirrel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
