Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Dean (ranked 1576 p4p, 1480 weight class) and Jimar Kinkead (ranked 197 p4p, 183 weight class). Kinkead has chosen No Sunshine as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimar Kinkead!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinkead is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dean sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kinkead slips a jab and a cross from Dean.
We've been told by Dean's head coaches at Tran MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Dean gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kinkead turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kinkead manages to end up in side control.

Let's hope that Kinkead has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Dean is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kinkead is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Dean managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Kinkead.
Kinkead has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Gold Samurai\'s Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

That's time! Dean's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kinkead shoots in looking for a takedown but Dean manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kinkead's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kinkead fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kinkead closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dean circles away.

Dean swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Kinkead throws a body shot but no joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dean fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kinkead looks for a takedown but Dean sprawls well.

Kinkead on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Dean feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kinkead sprawling to the canvas! Kinkead rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dean finish him?!

Kinkead is rocked!
Kinkead throws a leg kick but Dean sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kinkead is still on wobbly legs! Can Dean finish him?
Dean cracks Kinkead with a left hook right on the temple and Kinkead goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Dean lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Kinkead is OK!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). James Dean!
