Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tibi Jones (ranked 3552 p4p, 3794 weight class) and Yushin Okami (ranked 382 p4p, 409 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Meet the Grahams - Kendrick Lamar. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tibi Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yushin Okami!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to bum rush Okami with a series of wild strikes but Okami uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Okami lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Tibi Jones has been cut.
Jones slips under a jab from Okami.
Tibi Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Okami tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Okami tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg.
Okami keeps trying to improve his position.
Jones tries to stand but can't do so whilst Okami controls his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Okami is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard.
Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Okami escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Okami has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jones has passed into side control.
Jones works to advance to full mount. Okami defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Jones throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Jones is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Okami can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jones wants to control the pace but Okami is squirming around nicely.

Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Okami is wriggling around trying to escape.

Okami is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Jones sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Okami has given up his back here.
I really don't envy Okami right now.
Jones is persistently looking for the submission but Okami is defending it well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tibi Jones dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jones takes a swing at Okami's ribcage but misses.
Okami feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Okami changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Okami sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Jones doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Okami paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Jones - great work!

After the fight, Tibi Jones was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
