PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kristian Kent (ranked 3036 p4p, 2835 weight class) and Cutter Lune (ranked 347 p4p, 335 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kristian Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cutter Lune!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lune throws a half hearted mid kick.
It looked like Kent wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Lune misses with a body kick.
A low kick from Lune is predictable there
and Kent counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kent throws a body shot but no joy.
Kent fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kent misses with a series of wild punches.
Lune tries to counter with a clinch but Kent shakes him off and moves away.
Lune misses with a kick to the body.
Lune ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lune lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Lune in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Kent lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kent.
Lune looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kent lands a right hand from hell, dropping Lune. Kent pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
