Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alien Invasion (ranked 1730 p4p, 1110 weight class) and Nick Santorino (ranked 219 p4p, 148 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alien Invasion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Santorino!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Invasion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Santorino sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Invasion somewhat.
Invasion looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Santorino is fending him off so far but Invasion persists. Nope, Santorino circles away and we're back to standing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Santorino! But no joy.
Invasion shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Santorino defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alien Invasion. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Santorino fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Invasion looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Santorino has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Invasion is working away from the top position though.

Santorino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Invasion. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Santorino has hold of Invasion's hands but Invasion slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Invasion tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Santorino defends well and Invasion ends up having to push Santorino into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Come on Santorino - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Santorino lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Invasion backwards.
Invasion has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Santorino after a bit of a struggle.
Santorino prevents a takedown attempt there.

Santorino is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Invasion is trying to trip Santorino. He has hold of a leg but Santorino is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Invasion persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Invasion cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Invasion lands a heavy elbow.
Santorino is rocked!
Invasion lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Santorino is still in real trouble! Can Invasion finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Invasion lands with some strikes.
Invasion loads up with a big shot that hurts Santorino! He's pulled Invasion in close but Invasion has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Santorino survive? More strikes from Invasion and Santorino is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
