Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justice Washington (ranked 1608 p4p, 1115 weight class) and Gregor Reilly (ranked 179 p4p, 125 weight class). Reilly has chosen Cannonball/ The Breeders as his entrance music. Gregor Reilly will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justice Washington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregor Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington walks into a straight right hand from Reilly.

Washington closes the distance and clinches.
Washington jumps guard but Reilly stands there with Washington around his waist. Washington gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Reilly lands a left hand that snaps the head of Washington backwards.
Reilly misses with some punches.
Washington misses with a punch to the body.

Washington pulls guard effortlessly.

Washington is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reilly defends well.
Reilly distracts Washington with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Reilly wants to control from the top but Washington keeps moving.

Washington escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reilly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Washington has his foot on Reilly's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reilly works his way back into a safe position though.
Reilly stands up over Washington, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Reilly got a little sloppy there for a moment and Washington has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reilly has managed to get both his arms back between Washington's legs - danger averted.

Washington has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Reilly can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Reilly passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Reilly is looking to take a break and control but Washington is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Washington takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Reilly wants to control but Washington is keeping him busy.
Washington is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Reilly's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Washington is staying active underneath Reilly, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Reilly takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Washington definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Washington is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reilly pulls his head out easily.

Reilly in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Washington tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Reilly!

After the fight, Gregor Reilly was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
