Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Chavez (ranked 1259 p4p, 904 weight class) and Blazej Maleszewski (ranked 104 p4p, 71 weight class). Eduardo Chavez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eduardo Chavez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Blazej Maleszewski!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maleszewski throws a body punch but Chavez moves out of range.

Chavez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Maleszewski to keep the fight standing.

Maleszewski has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Chavez clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

I really don't envy Chavez right now.

Chavez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chavez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Chavez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Maleszewski looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Maleszewski looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Maleszewski!

Maleszewski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chavez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blazej Maleszewski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Chavez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Maleszewski walks away with a smile on his face. Chavez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Maleszewski is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Chavez can't fight it off and eventually Maleszewski manages to take the fight to the floor. Chavez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Oh but Chavez is tightening it up a little... Maleszewski has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Maleszewski reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Maleszewski taps out! Nice BJJ there by Chavez!
