Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Larry Wildheart! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wildheart paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mike Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller tries to clinch up but Wildheart circles away and keeps his distance. Wildheart clinches. Wildheart gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Miller regains guard.
Wildheart prevents Miller from getting back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wildheart accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Miller wants to stand up but Wildheart is controlling him. Wildheart wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving. Miller wants to stand up but Wildheart is controlling him. Wildheart forces his way into half guard. Miller pushes Wildheart off looking to stand but Wildheart dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Miller tries to clinch but fails miserably and Wildheart counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wildheart. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wildheart landing with the ground and pound. That's one minute gone in the round. Wildheart stops Miller from standing up. Wildheart wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving. Wildheart works a leg free and moves into half guard. Miller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wildheart on the ground. Miller looks like he's trying to stand up.
Miller on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Miller avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wildheart. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wildheart drops an elbow to the side of Miller's head. Wildheart controlling the pace. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wildheart lands a nice short elbow. Wildheart slips a nice elbow through Miller's hands, connecting with Miller's forehead. Wildheart is trying to control. Miller wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Wildheart has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Wildheart manages to move to mount!
Miller is breathing heavily. Wildheart lands a big shot there that rocks Miller but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Miller is bucking up trying to escape but Wildheart cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wildheart raining down shots from the mount! Wildheart won't let Miller get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Miller is squirming around, avoiding Wildheart's attempts to control the action. Wildheart lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Miller hang on?

Oh Miller is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Miller tries to buck Wildheart off but he can't manage it. Miller seems to have got his legs back now. Wildheart landing punches.

Wildheart landing strikes from the mount. Miller is bucking up trying to escape but Wildheart cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Miller is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wildheart's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Wildheart thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wildheart postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Miller looks a forlorn figure.

Larry Wildheart dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Wildheart shoots in but no luck this time. Wildheart circles away from the clinch attempt and Wildheart counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Miller's guard now. Wildheart content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Wildheart stands and throws Miller's legs to the side, diving into side control. Miller is trying to buck Wildheart off. Wildheart just content to control the position. Wildheart working the ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Wildheart thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Wildheart tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wildheart has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wildheart throwing strikes but missing, from side control. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Miller tries to get out of the position. Miller wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wildheart is working to tighten is grip on Miller's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Miller has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Wildheart is really squeezing tight and eventually Miller passes out! Wildheart breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
