Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Whelan (ranked 4325 p4p, 4452 weight class) and Adam Iason (ranked 455 p4p, 459 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whelan tries to clinch up but Iason circles away and keeps his distance.
Whelan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Whelan fails with an attempt to clinch.

Whelan pushes Iason up against the cage in a clinch.
Iason tries to stall but Whelan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Iason misses with a short punch on the inside.
A right hand to the body from Whelan.
Iason jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Whelan walks away with a smile on his face. Iason gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Iason forces Whelan back against the cage and clinches.

Whelan connects with a nasty looking knee right to Iason's face.

Whelan drops Iason with a big knee straight up the middle! Iason is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Whelan jerks Iason's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Iason drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Whelan goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Whelan because Iason was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
