Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drake Lane (ranked 2418 p4p, 1602 weight class) and Alden Williams (ranked 305 p4p, 218 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drake Lane!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alden Williams!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Williams.
Lane throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Williams! But no joy.
Williams has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Some wild striking there from Lane.
Lane has his takedown stuffed
and Williams counters with a left to the body.
Lane throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Williams jabs at Lane's body.
Williams scores with a nice strike.
Lane takes one on the button.
Williams scores with a shot to the body.
Lane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Williams counters with a right hand to the body.

A jab lands there for Williams.
Williams connects with a looping right hand.
Lane needs to keep his hands up - Williams had a free shot at his head there.
Williams with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Lane is rocked!
Williams rushes Lane and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Williams lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Lane doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Williams digs a right hand into Lane's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lane's gas tank.
Lane is breathing heavily.
Williams lands a nice uppercut.
Williams lands with a light punch inside.
Oh Lane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Williams lands a hook that snaps the head of Lane backwards.
Williams scores with a shot to the side of Lane's head.
Lane misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Nice body punch from Williams - that landed with a thud.
Williams creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Lane's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Lane drops to his knees and Williams pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alden Williams! Alden Williams retains his welterweight title!
