Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rhett Colett (ranked 4344 p4p, 2197 weight class) and Billy Turd (ranked 449 p4p, 280 weight class). Turd has chosen Laugh Now Cry Later as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turd looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Colett is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Colett stuffs the takedown.
An attempted straight right counter from Colett misses the target.
Turd will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A quick step to the side and Colett tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rhett Colett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Turd.
Turd tries for a takedown but Colett circles away easily
and Colett counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Billy Turd has been cut.

Colett is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Turd has a takedown stuffed.
Colett half committed to a counter leg kick.
Turd throws the left hand but Colett avoids the punch easily.

Turd changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Colett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Turd has control of an arm but Colett manages to advance to Turd's back!
Colett tries to keep control of the position but Turd is staying busy.
Turd wants to control his opponent's hands but Colett gets his hands free.
A lull in the action here.
Colett is not going to allow Turd to sit and survive in this position.
Turd is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Colett is staying active.
Turd might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Colett haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Turd needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation.
Colett is trying to stick to Turd's back but Turd is turning into Colett. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Colett's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Turd.

Turd stands up and waves to Colett to follow him.
Turd fails with an attempt to clinch.
It looked like Colett wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Turd throws a leg kick but Colett moved away.
An attempted straight right counter from Colett misses the target.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Turd has his takedown stuffed
enabling Colett to counter with a crisp jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Turd walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Colett checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A head kick misses from Turd.
A counter left hand to the body from Colett misses its target.
Turd bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Colett's head.
Colett slaps away a takedown attempt from Turd, before circling back to the center of the mat.
It looked like Colett was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Turd.
Billy Turd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Colett makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Turd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Colett as he jumps to the side.

Turd shoots in looking for a takedown. Colett tries to sprawl out of it but Turd keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Colett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
