Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Arnold Robinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antwan Tran!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Tran lands.
Tran looks to land a combination but Robinson avoids it well.
Robinson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Robinson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tran throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Robinson.
Tran misses with a straight left.
Robinson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Robinson fails in his attempt to clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Tran misses the target.
Tran lands a jab.
Tran circles away from the clinch attempt
and Tran counters with a nice right hand that sends Robinson toppling to the canvas! Robinson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Tran finish him?!
Robinson is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Robinson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tran.
Sloppy strikes from Tran. Those never looked like landing.
Robinson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Tran.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tran throws a hook but Robinson avoids it easily.
Tran swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Robinson moves in looking to clinch but Tran pushes him off.
Robinson ducks under a wild hook from Tran.
As Tran tries to get set, Robinson tries to push him back and clinch up but Tran manages to avoid the attempt.
Tran throws an overhand right that lands on Robinson's shoulder, as Robinson tries to avoid the shot.
Tran slips under a jab.
Robinson wants to clinch
and Tran counters with a crisp right hand that drops Robinson! Tran lets Robinson back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Robinson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tran throws an uppercut from hell that sends Robinson clean off his feet! He's out cold! Tran stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Antwan Tran!
