The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Loco is looking for a sweep.
Pancake tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pancake has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pancake thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Loco is trying to control Pancake's posture but Pancake avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Loco tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pancake wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pancake goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Loco has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pancake but great work by Loco. Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Loco (4) vs (4) Pancake
Pancake manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Pancake moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Pancake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Loco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pancake pulls Loco in close to prevent any damage.
Pancake looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Loco is defending well. Pancake quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Loco has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Pancake celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.

Tobias Pancake decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |
