Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hideyoshi Yamasaki (ranked 1442 p4p, 1360 weight class) and Esteban Cinco (ranked 154 p4p, 141 weight class). Yamasaki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 2Pac - Only God Can Judge Me. Hideyoshi Yamasaki could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Esteban Cinco's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hideyoshi Yamasaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Esteban Cinco! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cinco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yamasaki sprawls well. Yamasaki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cinco gets slowly back to his feet. A cross from Yamasaki lands. Cinco misses with a left hand and Yamasaki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A jab from Yamasaki misses. Cinco instigates a clinch. Cinco tries to work over Yamasaki's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Yamasaki as Cinco tries to tie him up. Cinco tries a knee to the head but Yamasaki blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yamasaki lands with a short head shot on the inside. Yamasaki avoids a wild elbow strike from Cinco. Cinco creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Cinco is looking to take this one to the mat. Cinco dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamasaki blocks an uppercut.
Cinco is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Yamasaki is keeping busy. A nice right hand lands inside from Yamasaki. Yamasaki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cinco misses with a hook
and Yamasaki counters with a nice uppercut. The fight stays on the outside here - Cinco looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Yamasaki scores with a jab to the jaw. Cinco slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Yamasaki swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cinco. Cinco gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A big left from Cinco misses. A jab lands there for Cinco. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yamasaki takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cinco clinches up against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. With the fighters up against the cage, Cinco throws an elbow but misses. Yamasaki manages to break the clinch.
Cinco misses with a lunging right hand
and Yamasaki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cinco misses with a few strikes there.
Cinco misses with a hook to the body
and Yamasaki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Yamasaki has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cinco. Yamasaki scores with a jab to the body. Yamasaki's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cinco under the eye. Cinco's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Yamasaki connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cinco scrambles back to his feet.
Cinco is rocked! Yamasaki connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cinco. Cinco circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Cinco is still on wobbly legs! Can Yamasaki finish him? Yamasaki is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Cinco hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hideyoshi Yamasaki! After the fight, Hideyoshi Yamasaki was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
