PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harri Mulqvist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikko Hantunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hantunen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bad Religion - American Jesus kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mulqvist slips a jab and a cross from Hantunen.
A bone on bone clash there as Hantunen blocks the leg kick.
Hantunen throws a hook but Mulqvist avoids it easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mulqvist lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hantunen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hantunen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mulqvist postures up in Hantunen's guard and throws a big left but Hantunen blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hantunen has left one of his arms exposed and Mulqvist doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Hantunen screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
