Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shamil Akhmedovich (ranked 3981 p4p, 25668 weight class) and Mateus Vieira (ranked 386 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shamil Akhmedovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mateus Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Akhmedovich drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vieira is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Akhmedovich in particular looking to stall.
Akhmedovich knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vieira on the ground.
Vieira wants to control but Akhmedovich is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vieira is defended easily by Akhmedovich.
