This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 14 losses; Marquis Chriss! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 5 losses; Miles Levesque!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
The fight stays on the outside here - Levesque looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Chriss feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Chriss (2) vs (0) Levesque
Levesque is looking for a triangle but Chriss pushes his legs off easily.
Chriss wants to control from the top but Levesque keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chriss drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Levesque manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chriss has Levesque in his guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Chriss (2) vs (2) Levesque
Chriss seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Levesque has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Chriss to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Levesque is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Chriss pulls down on the head and he's put Levesque to sleep! This one is all over!
