Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Mfer (ranked 1459 p4p, 3348 weight class) and Boston Lane (ranked 144 p4p, 277 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey Mfer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boston Lane!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mfer slips a jab and a cross from Lane.
Mfer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Lane misses with a double jab
and Mfer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lane fails to land with a series of punches.
Lane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mfer.
Mfer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Boston Lane has been cut.
Mfer throws a right hand that Lane ducks under and follows up with a left that Lane also avoids with ease.

Boston Lane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mfer circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Lane to the canvas! Lane doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Mfer keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
