Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorje Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Stglitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Slayer might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Otep - Battle Ready. Jorje Slayer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorje Slayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hugo Stglitz!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stglitz scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Stglitz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stglitz moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Slayer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stglitz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick misses from Stglitz.
Stglitz lands a jab-cross combination.
Stglitz tries to clinch there but Slayer circles away.
Stglitz scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Slayer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stglitz falls off balance throwing a combination

and Slayer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Stglitz!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stglitz tries to reverse the position but Slayer maintains control.

Slayer is going olschool here, as he tries to force Stglitz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stglitz shrugs it off.

Slayer looking to secure an arm triangle but Stglitz defends it well.
Stglitz trying desperately to get to his feet.

Slayer with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Stglitz wants to try and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stglitz throwing hammer fists to the chest of Slayer. What's that going to do exactly?

Slayer working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Stglitz turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Slayer off and cradles Stglitz's limp body as Slayer celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Jorje Slayer!
