Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Rafael!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Carlos Rafael has been cut.
Lester Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murphy slaps away a takedown attempt from Rafael, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rafael darts in and clinches Murphy up against the cage.
Murphy pushes Rafael back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Rafael content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Murphy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Murphy on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Rafael fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Murphy, pushing him back against the cage.
Rafael goes for a takedown in the clinch but Murphy prevents it.
Rafael turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Murphy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rafael has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Rafael tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rafael has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rafael is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Murphy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rafael prevents Murphy from escaping the position.
Rafael is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Murphy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Murphy sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Murphy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rafael on the ground.
Rafael is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Murphy is trying to maintain the position but Rafael is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rafael throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Murphy is trying to stand up here but Rafael is controlling him well.
Murphy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rafael's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rafael's back!

Rafael breaks Murphy's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Rafael forces his way into half guard.

Rafael tries to pass to full mount but Murphy defends it.

Rafael wants to control but Murphy is keeping him busy.

Rafael throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Murphy is trying is best to control the position here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A slapping leg kick lands for Rafael.
Murphy tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rafael counters with a takedown into side control.
Rafael is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Murphy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Rafael has hold of Murphy's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Murphy tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rafael cranks the arm and Murphy screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Murphy, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
