PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Porsche (ranked 1128 p4p, 2004 weight class) and Sime Soldic (ranked 113 p4p, 191 weight class). Porsche's entrance music is Hate it or Love it. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Porsche!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sime Soldic!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soldic lands a nice shot to the body.
Porsche chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Soldic can pounce on him.
Soldic lands an overhand right.
Porsche shoots in but no luck this time.
Soldic stuns Porsche with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Porsche manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Soldic on his heels. He'll look to pass Soldic's guard now, I'm sure.
Soldic is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Soldic working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Porsche.

Soldic wants to sweep but no luck.
Soldic has control of Porsche's left arm, preventing Porsche from doing any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Porsche takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Porsche.
Sime Soldic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soldic stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Porsche. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Soldic keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Porsche shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Soldic counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Soldic lands with a straight right. Porsche didn't see that one coming.
Soldic connects with a looping right hand.
Porsche goes for a double leg but Soldic avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Soldic continues to drive forward.

Soldic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Porsche takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Soldic scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Porsche doesn't seem bothered though.
Soldic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Soldic connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Soldic throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Porsche on the side of the head.
Porsche takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Soldic lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Soldic lands a jab to Porsche's midsection.
Soldic slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Porsche shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Porsche takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Soldic tests Porsche's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Soldic feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Porsches jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Nice sprawl there from Soldic as Porsche shoots in.
Soldic scores with a nice strike.
Soldic lands an overhand right.
Porsche takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Soldic scores with a decent looking hook.
Porsche on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Soldic. Soldic obviously looking to wear him down.
Porsche takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Soldic fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Soldic has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Porsche is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Sime Soldic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Porsche is defended easily by Soldic.
Soldic lands with a hook. Porsche tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Porsche tries for a takedown but Soldic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Soldic.

Porsche is rocked!
Soldic displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Porsche.
Oh Porsche is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Soldic drops Porsche with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Porsche! Soldic dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sime Soldic!
Sime Soldic seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
