Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zap Pushkin (ranked 2568 p4p, 3291 weight class) and The Purple Gang (ranked 332 p4p, 390 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zap Pushkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Purple Gang!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gang lands a body shot.
Gang swats away the attempt to clinch by Pushkin.
We've been told by Pushkin's head coaches at Heavy Metal that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gang tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pushkin is able to avoid easily.
Gang feints a jab promting Pushkin to slip. Gang then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pushkin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gang takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gang goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gang shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pushkin pinned against the cage. Pushkin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pushkin tries to avoid it but Gang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pushkin to the ground. Pushkin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gang seems to have recovered his senses.
Zap Pushkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Purple Gang.
