Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giovanny Winters (ranked 4475 p4p, 25401 weight class) and Patrick Vanderen (ranked 217 p4p, 518 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Giovanny Winters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Patrick Vanderen!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Winters fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vanderen, pushing him back against the cage.
Vanderen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Winters breaks from the clinch.
Vanderen connects with a jab.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vanderen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Winters has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Winters and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
As Vanderen backs away, Winters returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Vanderen doesn't manage to clinch there - Winters circles away.
No joy there for Vanderen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Winters throws the left hand but Vanderen avoids the punch easily.
