Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ulises Sherman (ranked 2842 p4p, 3976 weight class) and Flyin Hawaiian (ranked 0 p4p, 431 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hawaiian changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Sherman moves in looking to clinch but Hawaiian pushes him off.
Sherman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Hawaiian counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Sherman shoots in and drives through. Hawaiian sprawls well.

Hawaiian lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hawaiian.

Sherman wants to control from the top but Hawaiian keeps moving.
Hawaiian is striking off his back. Sherman thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Still in half guard, Sherman seems content to control.
Sherman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hawaiian tries to kick Sherman off but Sherman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hawaiian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sherman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sherman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hawaiian avoids it really well and circles away.
Hawaiian lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
A head kick from Sherman lands but Hawaiian takes it in his stride.

It looks like Flyin Hawaiian has been cut.
Flyin Hawaiian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hawaiian fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sherman, pushing him back against the cage.

Sherman has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hawaiian avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Sherman has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hawaiian regains guard immediately.

Hawaiian is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sherman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sherman's back!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hawaiian shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Sherman frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hawaiian wants to hold on but Sherman pushes him away.
Sherman is stalling here but it's allowed Hawaiian to get half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Flyin Hawaiian comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hawaiian has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
