And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 14 losses; Bernhard River!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Takeshi shoots in and drives through. River sprawls well.

River must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

River might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Takeshi haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

River working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Takeshi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Takeshi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Takeshi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but River manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Takeshi has River in his guard.
