A fine choice. Mania is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar '98. Karl Bach could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Horse Mania's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karl Bach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Horse Mania!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bach shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mania pulls Bach in close to prevent any damage.
Bach won't allow Mania to get back to his feet.
Mania avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bach accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bach wants to pass the guard but Mania is defending well.

Mania manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Horse Mania is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bach closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mania did well to prevent Bach getting side control.
Bach wants to control but Mania is keeping him busy.
Bach thows a huge punch but Mania dodges it nicely.

Bach is trying to control the action in half guard but Mania is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bach takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Bach content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

That's time! Bach's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bach shoots in for a double leg but Mania sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Horse Mania seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bach with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mania to score with a decent uppercut.

Bach bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Mania tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bach is able to avoid easily.

Bach looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bach has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bach scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Bach works his way into full mount!
Bach cracks Mania with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bach sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Mania slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Mania is looking to get back to is feet but Bach passes into side control.
Bach tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Bach is looking to take a break and control but Mania is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bach is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mania will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Mania wants to get back to his feet but Bach drags him back down.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bach throws an elbow but Mania slips to the side and avoids it well.
Bach lands a nice forearm strike.
Bach sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mania is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Bach in side control, throwing shots but Mania defends.

Bach goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mania has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bach but great work by Mania.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karl Bach dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Mania throws a hook to the side of Bach's head but Bach sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mania misses with a straight left.
Mania throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bach moves out of range of the strikes.
Bach misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mania swings away with a leg kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mania takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Bach fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bach avoids the body shot from Mania.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bach tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mania sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bach somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karl Bach. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bach uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mania.
Mania stuffs the takedown attempt from Bach. Bach gets slowly back to his feet.

Mania thows a left - swing and a miss!
Bach tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mania swivels and escapes.

Mania swings for the body but Bach moves out of range.

Bach shoots for a double leg takedown but Mania sprawls well. He's pushed Bach's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mania ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bach moves away.
Karl Bach is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bach looks for a takedown but Mania sprawls well.
Mania throws a head kick but Bach moves out of range.
Mania connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bach momentarily.
Mania feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bach's calf.
Mania throws an overhand right that lands on Bach's shoulder, as Bach tries to avoid the shot.
Mania misses with an uppercut.
Bach avoids the body shot from Mania.
Horse Mania has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bach has a takedown stuffed.

And that's the end of the fight!
Horse Mania comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bach has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
