Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willis Williams (ranked 4194 p4p, 25036 weight class) and Ji Hwan Bae (ranked 493 p4p, 562 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Willis Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ji Hwan Bae!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams clinches up against the cage.

Williams gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bae regains guard.

Bae looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Williams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bae holds on and takes a little breather.
Bae keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully.
Bae wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Bae has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Williams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bae has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Williams has managed to get both his arms back between Bae's legs - danger averted.

Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bae gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bae is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bae content to stall in guard here.

Bae thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bae scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Bae postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Williams is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bae, into his guard.

Williams wants to control from the top but Bae keeps moving.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bae working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Williams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ji Hwan Bae dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Williams rushes Bae and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Williams is trying to trip Bae. He has hold of a leg but Bae is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Williams persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bae pulls Williams in close to his closed guard and prevents Williams from doing any damage or advancing position.

Bae's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

Bae has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Williams should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bae has tightened it up now! Williams should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
