Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lavelle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lavelle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Tasaki is desperately trying to improve his position but Lavelle has a good base and remains in mount.
Tasaki regains half guard.
Tasaki missing with punches from the bottom.
Tasaki tries to get to full guard but Lavelle has control of the leg.
Tasaki is looking to control Lavelle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tasaki avoid being mounted?
Tasaki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tasaki wants to get back to his feet.
Lavelle performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Lavelle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tasaki keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tasaki throws a nice looking combination but Lavelle bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lavelle moves out of range as Tasaki strikes.
Horrible takedown by Lavelle or perhaps it was just good defense by Tasaki which made him look bad.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tasaki stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Tasaki scores with a jab to the head.
Tasaki scores with a one two! Lavelle had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Chris Lavelle has been cut.
Tasaki connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Lavelle to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Tasaki!
