Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Clarke (ranked 2283 p4p, 1388 weight class) and Bunny Anstey (ranked 246 p4p, 156 weight class). Clarke comes to the cage accompanied by One Cent, Five Cent, Ten Cent, Dollar - Soca Boys. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Clarke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarke fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anstey avoids it really well and circles away.
Anstey will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A lazy body kick from Clarke
and Clarke takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Anstey looks to land a left hand but Clarke moved out of range nicely.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Anstey has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Anstey misses with a double jab.
We've been hearing reports that Clarke has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

It looks like Mark Clarke has been cut.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Anstey enables Clarke to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Anstey manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Clarke shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Anstey is trying to defend but Clarke finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Clarke perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Clarke wants to take a breather but Anstey is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Anstey is pulling down on Clarke's head. It's preventing any offense from Clarke, at least for the moment.
Clarke throws an elbow that misses. Anstey uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Clarke's guard. Nice move by Anstey!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Anstey bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Clarke's head backwards.
Anstey throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Anstey fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Clarke on the side of the head.

Clarke closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Anstey quickly recovers to half guard.
Clarke winds up and cracks Anstey with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Clarke is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Anstey is trying to get back to full guard.
Clarke throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Anstey is looking to control Clarke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Anstey avoid being mounted?
Clarke is trying to control. Anstey wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Anstey is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Clarke's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Clarke's back!
Anstey connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Clarke to escape the position.

Clarke covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Anstey lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Anstey.

You can see the frustration on Clarke's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

In defeat, Mark Clarke stepped up to the mic, saying 'You beat me again... Well played. I wish you the best of luck in the future... However this is my final fight, thank you to everyone who supported me.. I want to pass the torch to Handerson. Good work brother.'.
