Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Couture (ranked 2115 p4p, 2199 weight class) and Kona Kush (ranked 143 p4p, 197 weight class). Kona Kush will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush looks to land a combination but Couture avoids it well.
Kush scores with a body shot.
Couture definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Couture has managed to clinch.
Couture presses Kush against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Couture wants the takedown. Kush is fighting it off but Couture persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kush's guard against the cage.

Kush seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Couture does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kush wants to get back to full guard.
Couture drops an elbow to the side of Kush's head.
Couture wants to take a breather but Kush is having none of it.
Couture looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kush with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Couture has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kush has passed into side control.

Couture is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kush can do to turn this around?

Couture has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kush clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Couture knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kush on the ground.
I really don't envy Kush right now.
Kush manages to reverse the position and now he's in Couture's guard. Nice work there by Kush.

Kush had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Couture defends it easily.

Kush is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Couture rolls with it to try and escape but Kush cranks on the arm and Couture is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
