Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 23731 p4p, 23549 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 61 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 50 - 59 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Nice sprawl there from Amiga as Salvacion shoots in.
Amiga shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion shows good takedown defense.

Amiga gets a double leg takedown into Salvacion's guard.
Salvacion looking for a sweep. Not yet Salvacion, not yet.
Salvacion has control of Amiga's left arm, preventing Amiga from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Salvacion is continuing to stall.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Amiga with a poor takedown
and Salvacion counters with a good, hard body kick but Amiga shrugs it off.

Salvacion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Amiga tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salvacion is in Amiga's guard.

Salvacion slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Amiga seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amiga slaps away a takedown attempt from Salvacion, before circling back to the center of the mat.
It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Richard John Salvacion will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Amiga feints and as Salvacion raises his hands in defense, Amiga changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Salvacion seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Amiga is stalling in the full guard.
Amiga trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Salvacion wants to improve his position but instead Amiga has moved into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Amiga is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Salvacion desperately trying to maintain half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Amiga misses with a kick to the body.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Amiga thinks about countering with a body kick.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Salvacion.
It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there.

Amiga shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Salvacion manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Amiga has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Salvacion bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Amiga shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion shows good takedown defense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Amiga striking off his back but it's not causing Salvacion any problems.
Amiga can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Salvacion controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amiga is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Salvacion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Salvacion wants to control from the top but Amiga keeps moving.
Salvacion controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Amiga shoots for a takedown but Salvacion saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Salvacion counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gakus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Salvacion is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Richard John Salvacion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Salvacion has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
