The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Bloor misses with a takedown and Benjamins counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bloor! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Benjamins (4) vs (0) Bloor Benjamins trying to control the position but Bloor is working away. Bloor tries to bench press Benjamins off him but Benjamins keeps the position. Bloor is not content to let Benjamins control the position. Benjamins tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bloor's legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Benjamins trying to control the position but Bloor is working away. Bloor tries to improve position but can't. Benjamins is trying to get an arm triangle but Bloor is defending well.

Benjamins goes for an armbar but Bloor turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bloor. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Benjamins (6) vs (2) Bloor Benjamins looking for a sweep. Not yet Benjamins, not yet. Benjamins working a defensive guard here.
Benjamins has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bloor has passed into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bloor sitting and controlling from the half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Benjamins manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Benjamins is trying to control the position but Bloor postures up. Bloor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Benjamins is on top in guard.

Bloor keeping moving, preventing Benjamins from controlling successfully. Benjamins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bloor swivels though and keeps the full guard. Benjamins sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bloor's guard. Bloor won't allow Benjamins to pass to mount.

Bloor is not content to let Benjamins control the position. Benjamins is looking to advance position but Bloor won't allow it. Bloor is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Benjamins has latched onto it... Big trouble! Benjamins pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Bloor is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Benjamins!
