The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Gracie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gracie drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Fischer defends it well.
Fischer tries to clinch there but Gracie circles away.

Gracie shoots in and bounces Fischer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Gracie postures up.
Fischer looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gracie puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie is working for a kimura but Fischer is defending it quite comfortably.
Fischer wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fischer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gracie content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Fischer is looking to improve his position.
Fischer is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Gracie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fischer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gracie is pushing down on Fischer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fischer is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.

Gracie's corner is telling him to maintain position.

It looks like Gracie might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
