Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beau Ruane (ranked 4869 p4p, 3966 weight class) and Vladislav Mirenko (ranked 481 p4p, 425 weight class). Vladislav Mirenko has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Beau Ruane's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Beau Ruane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladislav Mirenko!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mirenko drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mirenko feints and then cracks Ruane's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ruane down.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mirenko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Ruane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mirenko is working away from the top position though.

Well Mirenko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
