Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobojo Makoba (ranked 567 p4p, 1980 weight class) and Animo Anito (ranked 66 p4p, 208 weight class). Makoba comes to the cage accompanied by Zilbacore 2097. Bobojo Makoba could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Animo Anito's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobojo Makoba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Animo Anito!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makoba throws a push kick but Anito slaps the foot to one side.
We've been told by Makoba's head coaches at Marquis Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Makoba throws a body kick that misses.
Anito throws out a counter right but Makoba avoids it with no problem.
A clash of legs there as Anito blocks the low kick.
Makoba dodges the punch combination from Anito.
Makoba lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Anito at a distance.
Makoba connects with an inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Makoba feints and then cracks Anito's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Anito down.

Makoba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Anito lunges at Makoba with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Makoba's hand.
It looks like Bobojo Makoba has been cut.
Anito works the jab nicely.

Anito throws a nice looking combination but Makoba bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Makoba throws out a loose jab but Anito uses good head movement to avoid it.
Makoba lands a big head kick that sends Anito tumbling to the mat! Makoba takes a step backwards and waves Anito back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looked like Makoba wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Anito circles away from the clinch attempt.

Makoba avoids the head kick by Anito.

Animo Anito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anito throws a left and a right that both miss
and Makoba counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Makoba tries to work over Anito's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A frustrated look appears on Anito's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Anito breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Anito misses with a body shot.
Makoba connects with an inside leg kick.
Makoba throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Makoba staying out of range there.
Anito throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Makoba counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Anito moves out of range as Makoba throws a body kick.
Makoba circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Anito tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Makoba wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bobojo Makoba!
