Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Jcool (ranked 4814 p4p, 4655 weight class) and Stanley Wagon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jcool comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stanley Wagon!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagon gets tackled into the cage by Jcool. Jcool maintains the clinch.
Wagon pulls guard effortlessly.
Wagon keeping moving, preventing Jcool from controlling successfully.
We've been hearing that Jcool has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Jcool won't allow Wagon to get back to his feet.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Wagon manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Wagon tries to throw a body punch but Jcool avoids it by throwing Wagon back against the cage.

Jcool was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Wagon darts in and clinches Jcool up against the cage.
Jcool is trying to pull guard but Wagon has him pressed against the cage.
Jcool pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Wagon lands with a hook. Jcool tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jcool gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Wagon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wagon showed some decent athleticism there.
Wagon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Jcool tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wagon defends well and Jcool ends up having to push Wagon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wagon stands up and waves to Jcool to follow him.
Jcool needs to keep his hands up - Wagon had a free shot at his head there.
Jcool takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wagon might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Jcool ducks under a wild hook from Wagon.
Wagon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jcool, pushing him back against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Wagon.
Wagon tries a body shot but Jcool blocks it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Jcool's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Wagon misses with an uppercut. Jcool saw that one coming.
Wagon looks to land a left hand but Jcool moved out of range nicely.
Jcool gets tackled into the cage by Wagon. Wagon maintains the clinch.
Wagon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wagon has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Wagon throws a shot from downtown. Jcool moves away and avoids it.
Wagon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jcool tries a head kick but it misses.

Abdul Jcool is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wagon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stanley Wagon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wagon struggles to land a body shot inside as Jcool controls his hands.
Jcool escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wagon misses with a hook. Jcool ducked under it nicely.

and Wagon counters with a stiff right hand.
Jcool will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
