This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 77 wins and 52 losses; Vasiliy Kulik!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Juncker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kulik tries to clinch but Juncker moves out of range.
Juncker goes for a double leg but Kulik avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kulik continues to drive forward.

Kulik pulls Juncker into guard.
Juncker is looking to advance position but Kulik has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Juncker tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kulik controlling his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kulik trying to control but Juncker is having none of it.
Juncker working to try and regain half guard.

Kulik fails to advance to Juncker's back.
Juncker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Juncker is controlling an arm, preventing Kulik from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Kulik controlling his opponent.

Juncker tries to hold on but Kulik postures up.
Juncker is trying desperately to improve position.
Juncker tries to lock up and control but Kulik gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kulik takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
It looks like Kulik might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Kulik looking to control but Juncker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kulik is continuing to stall.
Juncker stops Kulik from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Juncker is desperately trying to improve his position but Kulik has a good base and remains in mount.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Juncker sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Juncker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kulik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kulik's back!

Kulik is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Juncker is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kulik defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Kulik is looking to escape here. Oh dear - Juncker has locked on a rear naked choke here! Kulik is tapping out! The fight is over!
