PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genghis Khan (ranked 2009 p4p, 2223 weight class) and Hyu Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Head's choice of entrance music: Eye of the tiger. Hyu Head acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Genghis Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 33 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hyu Head!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head with a poor takedown
and Khan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Head fails with the takedown
and Khan counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Hyu Head has been cut.
Khan misses with a leg kick.
Head shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Khan counters with a stiff right hand.
Genghis Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hyu Head.

Khan lands a big uppercut and Head crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Head looks OK. Khan waves Head back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Khan gets a clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Khan.
A right hand to the body from Khan.
Head looks winded!
Khan scores with a nice hook to the head.
Khan tries to land knees in the clinch but Head avoids the damage to the body.
Khan tries a knee to the head but Head blocks it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Khan.
Khan digs a right hand underneath Head's ribcage. Head let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Khan lands a damaging elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Head's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

That has opened up Hyu Head's cut even more.
Khan using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Head has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Khan.

Khan drops Head onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Head is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Head is rocked!

Head is pressed against the cage. Khan pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Head! Two more big strikes from Khan and Head crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Genghis Khan!
Genghis Khan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Hyu Head spoke after the fight, saying '"Everybody out there know I beat him, I controlled the fight, he was missing, I hit him plenty more times. I beat him.Let me talk something... I want to thank the whole hood who came out here. I love y'all. I did this for the hood, you know I beat that boy.'.
