Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23704 p4p, 23721 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 60 - 10, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 59 - 49 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Buut closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Buut not doing much here.
Mibangon is holding on to half guard well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buut sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Mibangon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Buut is working away from the top position though.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Buut goes for a double leg but Mibangon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mibangon continues to drive forward.

Buut tries for a takedown but Mibangon circles away easily
and Mibangon counters with a body kick that stops Buut in his tracks momentarily.
Mibangon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Buut defends well and Mibangon ends up having to push Buut into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Buut motions for Mibangon to come forward. Buut throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
And Mibangon counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it.
Buut looks to land a body kick but Mibangon moved away.
Mibangon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Buut sprawls well. Buut wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mibangon gets slowly back to his feet.
Buut is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Mibangon shoots in for a takedown but Buut shows good takedown defense.

Buut throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mibangon's waist but Mibangon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buut off to one side.
Mibangon looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Buut shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mibangon defends it nicely.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Minatay Mibangon.
Well Buut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
